Multi-fuel CHP packages

For customers aiming to increase the margin on fuel costs and income from sales and subsidies (eg. ROCs and the RHI) fuel is often the key issue.

Anybody can connect to a gas supply or fill a tank with diesel.  But we see a future based on less traditional fuels such as reclaimed fats, RDF, producer gas, AD gases and similar waste sources powering combined heat and power systems.  CHP is one of the most efficient forms of power generation.

CHP is eligible for a range of government subsidies including Feed-in Tariffs (FIT), Renewable Obligation Certificates (ROCs) and Non-Domestic Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI).

We can supply self-contained combined heat and power units of 500kw to 3MW (and multiples thereof) directly fired from heavy fuel oil, diesel, kerosene and waste mineral oils; vegetable oils and used/waste vegetable oils; natural gas, liquefied petroleum gas, liquefied natural gas; producer gas, syngas, methane, hydrogen and gas from anaerobic digestion plants.

Our containerised systems can be delivered and connected to existing generation equipment in a day or custom-built to specific requirements.  Modules can be single fuel – liquid or gas – or dual fuel – liquid and gas.

G4 Group Engineering’s sister company, G4 Power Grid has operated a commercial CHP system for several years, powered by waste vegetable oil, and is certified under the Combined Heat And Power Quality Assurance (CHPQA) standard
